Today I Feel Like Eyes.

Hi,

For Christmas I was very, very lucky with the things that I got and I even got some makeup related things too that, quite frankly, are to die for. The first thing that I want to share with you is an eyeshadow that every time I'd walk past in Boots I'd end up looking at it longingly for a good couple of minutes every single time. It just spoke to me. So I proudly present Bourjois eyeshadow in the shade '08'. It's the most finely milled shimmer, I'd use it specifically for my eyes but I tried it as highlight and it looks so nice on the cheekbones too. It works best when used with your fingers and it stands out significantly more when used with a primer (I use UD Primer Potion in 'Sin'). I can't believe I've never had this in my possession before, I was definitely missing out!

Today I Feel Like Eyes.

Hello,
It's been a while, I know. Merry Christmas!
I've done a festive look that I think would be lovely for New Years Eve, especially for those who want something different but aren't willing to go all out glitz . A bit of blue eyeliner and you're away.
Hope you like it, more looks to come!

I put a wash of Bourjois '08' eyeshadow across my whole lid with my finger and then with a medium sized brush pushed 'Money' from the UDNY pallet into the outer half of my eye and blended a tiny amount of matte brown on top of it.
I then wet a small eyeliner brush and used 'Radium' to line my eyes, also from the Urban Decay New York pallet. My eyebrows are filled in with with a mix of black and dark brown powder with an angled brush. I then finished off with YSL Touché Eclat under my eyes and on my brow bone.

Today I Feel Like Cheeks.

Hey guys,
Benefit is a brand that I'm not all that familiar with but in the summer I came into possession of two of their cheek tints. I'd like to have my own little rave about them seeing as I'm now in possession of my very own blog. Well one of them anyway. Benetint is the good one of the two and I wore it everyday for the whole summer- I find tints very drying in the colder months. It gives you a flush that doesn't really look like you have any blusher on at all, rather you've just pinched your cheeks when no one was looking. However, Posietint doesn't really have much pigment at all to it and is more creamy which I feel makes it harder to blend.
Just my views on the matter. :)

Today I Feel Like Cheeks.

Hey guys,
Benefit 10 was a Christmas present last year that is hands down the best highlighter I've ever used. The contour shade however, isn't. I love to use the both colours on its own or even mix them together as they are both super pigmented and both super shimmery. See my point now? Although the darker shade is a lovely bronzer, having shimmer in a contour colour isn't really practical. The whole warm colour, shimmer thing attracts light, a contour is supposed to be cool toned and matte in order to create depth.
Negativity aside- this set is a real winner as it packs a punch, pigment wise, that I have never experienced before... just don't use it to make those chubby cheeks vanish.
Hope this was helpful, probably wasn't.

Today I Feel Like a Comparison.

Hi guys,

Maybelline KohlExpress
Urban Decay 24/7

The saying 'you get what you pay for' seems to be relevant a lot of the time in the makeup industry. I thought I'd do a series on the high-end things I have vs high-street items. It's Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in the shade Zero and Maybelline Kohl Express Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Glam Black. The UD pencil comes out as a creamy, jet black line which I know will last me the whole day while the Maybelline comes out as a hard, grey/black which is pretty but not what it is designed to be. It lasts the whole day with a primer but I'm afraid I've never had a panda-free day when I've not used a base. The winner is clear but what are your experiences of these eyeliners?

Today I Feel Like Showing Off.

Hey guys,
Anyone tried these? The £5 off voucher at Boots was the only reason I bought these as they're quite steep for face wipes at £7 full price. Regardless of the price, they're actually fantastic wipes.

Today I Feel Like Skincare.

Hi guys,

Liz Earle is one of the best skincare brands that I've come across and I don't think that I would be able to function without their Gentle Face Exfoliator. I don't have particularly sensitive skin but I don't like the feeling of lots of big, scratchy granules on my cheeks- is it just me that feels like you're being shoved into a cheese grater when that happens? Liz Earle pride themselves on using 'naturally active' ingredients that don't do more harm than good like a lot of other skincare companies. Their exfoliator is the same consistency as Cleanse & Polish but with tiny little beads that gently exfoliate the skin. It really feels like you've had a facial when you rinse this off. I have the 50ml tube and it's lasted me well over a year. For £9.25, I think it's a definite must-have to have in your beauty cabinet.
